I got the Yumie Sushi Vegan Deluxe pack from the WHSmith Too Good to Go surprise bag, and to say the most- I am enjoying it! I’m unsure how much it costs, but it’s around £1.50-ish.
I first ate the two black sesame rolls inside the pack, which tasted okay; it had ginger in it, so it had a bit of a kick, which was excellent- the sushi was quite dry, though.
The wasabi in the pack is relatively low quality as it looks like a higher than average amount of horseradish to wasabi ratio inside it. While the soya sauce wasn’t that great, it didn’t taste like Japanese soy sauce (saltier) but was much cheaper.
The carrot and sesame sushi were good, too! There was a chilli inside, giving it spiciness, which is nice, while the sauce inside gave it moisture that the two black sesame rolls lacked.
The edamame and sesame roll were simple enough, and you could taste the oil inside, which helped add depth to the flavour, though I suggest using the wasabi. The pepper rice roll was also pretty nice and was quite moist- though it was quite loose as it fell apart quickly.
