Lidl’s Vemondo Soya Unsweetened Plant-Based Drink Review

Lidl’s Vemondo Soya Unsweetened Plant-Based Drink is a delicious and super cheap plant-based milk that only cost me £0.50 when writing! This is a fourth of the price of other plant-based brands and half that of dairy milk. It’s a great deal, and it tastes like your standard soya milk- you may, however, have to sweeten it if you don’t like the aftertaste.

Despite soya milk having a profound ‘beany’ aftertaste, I had chilled the milk before drinking and didn’t notice the aftertaste. It was pretty enjoyable and great to drink plain with a sandwich on the side. Though the soya milk is not as creamy as I’d like- it’s to be expected for the price, however, it does make a killer latte! You will notice the aftertaste in any coffee or milk teas you make with the soya milk, but you get used to it eventually.

Vemondo Soya Unsweetened Milk

This is a steal as it’s half the price of the ‘original’ (or sweetened) version, and if you want to sweeten it, you can simply add sugar or any sugar alternative you have. I had also tested this in a curry I made and it did help to add some thickness to it- so I believe you can use this for baking for anything that requires milk.

I’ve left the ingredients to the product below for you to check and the nutritional information as well!
