Lidl’s Eridanous Touloumpakia Vanilla Flavour Pastries cost £3.49 and have a complex profile of flavours which you will certainly enjoy! The pack comes in 400g and they aren’t the type of confectionary you can eat a lot of at once so they’ll last awhile!
The touloumpakia is pretty soft and airy, and it feels like you’re eating sponge cake when you bite it. Though I cannot taste the vanilla despite the product being labelled a vanilla flavour, it mostly tastes like honey. Still, it has a satisfying taste and is not too sweet and neutral to your palette so that you can enjoy it anytime!

As you take your second bite, it is super moist and has a delectable mouthfeel – they are also not that sticky when you pick them up, which makes it enjoyable with coffee! However, the aftertaste has a slight artificial flavour which has not been masked at all- which I presume is from the manufacturing methods. The egg flavour is rather strong as well inside of the pastry which creates a richer profile of the confectionary.
Concluding this review, I would give them a 3.5 out of 5 in total!
