grüum’s Skira Melting Sleep Butter Review

Disclaimer: I got this as a part of Railcard deal where I only had to pay for the delivery of this and two other items. For this review, I will be ignoring that fact and will be reviewing this as if I bought it at full price.

grüum Skira Melting Sleep Butter

grüum’s Skira Melting Sleep Butter is a chamomile and coconut butter that costs £9.00 (as of writing)- which is quite pricy but is very relaxing. After reading the directions, you are supposed to cut off a small piece of the butter then add it to your hot bath water. It will in fact not really combine well with the water but that’s to be expected but it does work despite this. Some of them won’t melt properly but you can simply crumble it up while in the bath or take the unmelted parts and lather it onto your body.

The smell of the product is lovely and soothes you as you smell it – a lot of the elements of the product really makes it feel quite luxurious.

The bath butter claims to have ‘nourishing benefits’ but these are not sourced or referenced at all on the product. I did get sleepy and relaxed (see below) but it would be nice to see a scientific reference on their claims with a small card that could come with the product. Since a lot of claims are quite unreliable these days as a lot of products get marketed as ‘health’ or ‘mind’ products when they’re simply placebo.

Once leaving the bath I felt really sleepy and extremely relaxed- which probably wasn’t great as I had my bath in the morning! But the effects of the bath butter really do work though I did have a bit of a reaction to it on my bath which got slightly itchy. Although, I did add dead sea salt into the bath as well which is something I always do.

Overall, I would say that you should only get this product when it’s on sale or you can get it for free like I did otherwise it’s just too expensive to even consider buying. Therefore, I end off this review giving it a 3.5/5

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.
