Lidl’s Pink Iced Ring Doughnut is a delicious doughnut that only costs £0.39 but I paid £0.12 less due to purchasing during the Bakery happy hour!
The doughnut is very moist and there is a lack of staleness despite expecting that as I bought one at the end of the day. It is fluffy and soft when eating into and you can taste the smaller flavours within the pastry like the egg used which gives it a essence of richness to the doughnut.
Unfortunately, I had expected a slight strawberry flavour from the icing as the icing was pink but it was simply just your average icing ontop with sprinkles- which isn’t bad but not what I expected. The doughnut wasn’t bad at all though – the quality was average but it’s cheap so that is to be expected. It was good with some black coffee as it’s a quick snack on the go.
Overall, if you’re looking for something to take and go- I suggest this doughnut as it is slightly satiating, cheap and doesn’t disappoint. Overall, I give it a 4/5! Unfortunately, there is nowhere in the store, well in the store I was in, that shows the ingredients or nutritional information which is not so great as someone may be allergic to the item.
