Hazelnut Kinder Happy Hippo Biscuit Review

I bought the hazelnut kinder happy hippo biscuit’s from Asda for around £1.50 for a five-pack making them only cost £0.30 each! This is super affordable especially a bargain with how delicious they are!

The flakes on the biscuit are really delicious and delicate as they are both crunchy yet melt in your mouth with a velvety texture while being both sweet and slight nutty flavour. The wafer used in the hippo casing is quite light and airy along with tasting a bit like an ice cream cone- the crunchiness is a very satisfying mouthfeel. Having both the wafer and the flakes at the same time elevate the crunchiness! Though the flakes can be quite messy so make sure you’re not eating over anything important!

The top layer inside of the happy hippo has a decadent hazelnut paste which has a very rich and dense texture along with a great creaminess that really complements the slight sweetness and hints of toastiness and great hazelnut flavour.

The bottom layer of white chocolate is also creamy but not as velvety as the hazelnut layer but has a distinct milky flavour and sweetness. Both layers combine to make a sweet chocolaty experience in your mouth as it coats the mouth with the chocolate and hazelnut – though it can be quite drying as it very oily.

Overall, I very much enjoyed this snack and would recommend it! I’ve supplied the ingredients and nutritional information below and also a 5 star rating!
