The Central Park Experience

We went over to Central Park last week which contained a large green space with plenty of social areas for barbequing and some sports. The air was spectacularly clean- despite some people obviously not knowing how to barbeque in the social area and the wildlife was especially teeming!

Majority of the critter life were squirrels, rabbits, rats, chipmunks and the occasional raccoon- though those where quite rare. We saw an extremely large amounts of butterflies and bees at this time of year which was satisfying.

There’s a large amount of locations for you if you’re into bird watching and photography; unfortunately we didn’t catch the woodpecker that we were hoping to capture in a photograph- but they exist in Central Park. There’s also a chance to catch a bald eagle but this is narrowing down a lot over time.

The numerous forested locations in the park also make it a great location for bird listening and forest bathing especially if it is at a quieter hour when there’s less people. I found it especially calming and tranquil when walking alone near the numerous streams or mini-waterfalls in the area.

Around the more pond-like areas in the park you can also capture turtles and a lot of marine life despite how murky the water is- we did see a few fish (especially koi). Though I would advise you to put on some protection against insects/bugs before going near to the pond areas as there is a tremendous amount of mosquito larvae or spawn.

Central Park Conclusion

There’s also a zoo in Central Park but we didn’t have much time to go visit it- but if you’re spending time in Central Park it’s probably good place to go explore! Overall, the park was enjoyable and I would thoroughly recommend it for you to experience yourself!
