Ssips Green Tea with Cane Sugar only costs $1.99 from America’s Food Basket and is a very cooling and pleasing drink! It’s a light beverage that I suggest it should be served cold with ice.
The Review
The tea is really light but the flavor is noticeable; you can taste the typical green tea flavor but it is enhanced when cold and the added sugar is not too sweet so that it doesn’t overpower the natural flavor. The tea tastes slightly earthy and nutty which gives it a oomph factor while being soft on the palette.
There is no unpleasant or astringent aftertaste with this tea which can be an issue with some manufactured green tea’s. I also tasted a slight floral taste to this green tea which was aided by the sweetness from the cane sugar. Alongside this, the aroma of the tea oscillates between sweetness and light earthiness that creates a satisfying experience when you sip the tea when pairing it with a light dessert.
I suggest that you should add ice to this green tea as I find that it is best served ice cold since it is really good at cooling your body down in the summer’s heat. There are also no artificial flavorings or chemicals added to this beverage which is great as it is mostly natural (see the ingredients at the bottom of the article)!
Unfortunately, the only issue with this tea for me is that I would have preferred it to be a bit more stronger- the color of the tea is just a bit too translucent and the taste is too light. If you’re looking for a stronger tea brew- this is not for you but if you’re looking for something you can drink to cool off; then its an excellent choice! Overall, I would rate this a 4/5 due to these factors as it was an enjoyable drink!
