Zucchini Smoothie Recipe

This zucchini smoothie recipe creates a super refreshing smoothie and one that is best drank cold! Furthermore, the smoothie does not taste at all bitter as one may expect with a zucchini smoothie. Ironically, it is sweet and has a very pleasant yet earthy taste to it.

Zucchini Smoothie Recipe

Incidentally, if you’re wanting to have less sweetness in the smoothie you can always change the ingredients to taste. This is the best thing about making smoothies! However, one thing to note is that if you want a creamier smoothie make sure that the zucchini’s are frozen chunks.

Alongside this, the carob syrup can be interchanged with maple syrup or honey. Hopefully this will be a recipe and drink you’ll enjoy!

Main Ingredients

  • Zucchini’s (if frozen; chunks.)
  • Banana: The banana helps to give a bit of creaminess and thickness to the smoothie.
  • Water: You can alternatively use plant-based milk or dairy milk.
  • Clotted Cream: If you’re making a plant based version; replace this with plant-based cream or yoghurt.
  • Carob Syrup: This adds sweetness to the smoothie and a delicious flavor. Alternatively, you can replace this with maple syrup or honey.
  • Dates (pitted): Dates help to add sweetness and thickness.
  • Salt: A pinch of salt helps to bring out the flavors from the zucchini and banana.

Optional Ingredients

  • Ice Cubes: If you’re looking for more creaminess you should add these.

How to Make The Zucchini Smoothie

First you should make sure to chop up all the zucchini into chunks if it is not frozen. Additionally, if it’s frozen; make sure you’re using zucchini chunks. Add these into the blender and cut up the banana then add it too. Add the pitted dates into the blender afterwards then the clotted cream and carob syrup.

Once complete; add the water and a pinch of salt then blend everything up for 2 to 7 minutes based on your blenders power.

Note: You can swap out any of the dairy ingredients for their plant-based variants.
