This is a review on the ASDA Instant Noodles of the curry flavor variant which cost £0.35! On its own these curry noodles aren’t really spicy at all but they do have a slight amount of umami inside. To add some kick to the noodles- I added some chili powder to it! This is necessary if you find the base flavor very tame!
If you’re using these instant noodles- please add toppings and other extras to it. Otherwise you’ll be left disappointing as on its own it’s terrible. I like to use these as a base for much more delicious ramen! We added curry flavored mackerel to the noodles, spring onions, wakame and spinach. There’s much more you can add and it’s pretty much limitless in options.
I would also recommend against drinking the broth as it is incredibly spicy and is definitely not good for you. Due to the salt content- while eating these noodles, one should have a drink.
Overall, these noodles are great if you’re looking for a quick noodle. They’re cheap, satiating (but not tasty on their own) and easy to customize! Additionally, if you’re the type to not use the seasoning that comes with it- they’re much more better! The noodles can simply just be used in cooking. You can also use them for fried noodles as well! I just treat these as a base noodle for cooking mostly.
Thus, if you’re looking for solely noodles for ramen and to add nothing; I suggest the Indomie brand (paid link) as they always have amazing noodles!
