The Aldi Dairyfine Mini Delights Milk Chocolate Sticks cost £2.19 and contain 11 of the sticks. They have an acidic taste to them and are quite hard on the outside.
Unfortunately, I found these quite acidic compared to Lidl’s Mister Choc variant. They had a sort of cheap chocolate taste to them which then turns into a slight vomit bitter taste. The filling is fairly pleasant though it tastes a bit too sweet when compared to Kinder’s milk filled chocolate.
The upside of these is that they are much harder than the Lidl off-brand and the Kinder they are trying to replicate. This gives it a bit of a crunch and this gives it a pleasant sounding snap when eating it. Additionally, the crunch feels nice in the mouth and gives texture.
The packaging is very easy to break down- it comes in a box and the chocolates are wrapped in a metal foil. Unfortunately though, it doesn’t do well for sustainability as it would be better in paper wrapping.
I couldn’t eat more than two without starting to feel sick eating them. This maybe due to it containing quite a bit of sugar for each stick.
Aldi Dairyfine Mini Delights Review Conclusion
Overall, the Aldi Dairyfine Mini Delights are honestly quite disappointing. I had expected them to be similar to the Lidl Mister Choc Milk Fingers. However, this was not the case and it is quite overpriced for sickly tasting chocolate. To improve- I believe that they need to reduce the acidity and sweetness in the chocolates.
If you’re looking to save money; the Lidl version is 10 pence cheaper than the Aldi.
