Lidl Deluxe Ginger Cordial Review

The Lidl Deluxe Ginger Cordial costs only £2.49 (as of writing) and is great value for money and gives a great kick! It has a immense flavor and you don’t need to use much of it as well!

Lidl Deluxe Ginger Cordial

The Lidl Ginger cordial is intense (you should put 1 to 10 in the ratio of cordial to water!). However, I used it slightly more since I prefer my ginger drinks to be on the more potent edge. I replaced the water with tonic water (or Lidl’s new Elderflower tonic!), which was amazing! The elderflower tonic water merged the floral hints with the spiciness, creating a light, enjoyable drink.

You will notice that this ginger travels up through your nose, which can be slightly irritating. However, the cordial is slightly sweet, alleviating the kick and making it more drinkable. I also found that adding this to a mix with liquor complements the alcoholic kick with spiciness, and it is satisfying to enjoy this way.

You can also create a delicious ginger drink by mixing it with apple juice instead of water! This will subdue the spiciness but also create a mild, pleasant flavour! I also tried adding a small amount to an herbal tea I made, which really did elevate it with spiciness. This also means that when adding ginger to herbal tea, you won’t need to remove the ginger inside during its creation.

Overall, the Lidl Deluxe Ginger Cordial is a cheap cordial that works well as a addition to any juice or tonic water! However, if you’re looking to save even more money you can use their Solevita Ginger Shot as a cordial instead.
