Lidl’s Dutch Style Caramel Spread Review

Lidl’s Dutch Style Caramel Spread only cost £1.89 and was an amazing spread to treat myself with! It’s both divine and super rich and works well with a lot of things!

The spread tastes absolutely amazing- it has quite a similar flavour to the Cinnabon frosting they put on the plain cinnamon rolls at Cinnabon. I love dipping the Café Noir biscuits inside of the spread and having a tea with this. It also tastes great spread on fruit toast as well! Leading on from the taste; the crunchiness from the wafer bits are also a delight to bite into to enjoy! The smell of the spread is divine as well- so it really enhances the eating experience.

I made a milk drink with the spread as well which was lovely; it was smooth, super creamy and decadent! Especially when you add heavy cream into it, top it with whipped cream and have a few marshmallows. I suggest doing this or adding it to your morning coffee as it makes a fantastic difference! Don’t do this if you’re not a fan of seeing oil at the top of the coffee, though! The coffee will have a cinnamon-caramel flavour!

I also added a dollop of it into a hot chocolate and it was great. Though it does not really taste much of a spread and more of a frosting if you’re looking for a spread.

In conclusion, I give this delicious treat a 5/5!
